To whom it may concern,

Please consider me a candidate for the student Veterinary Nurse position, You may find my background with animals, customer service skills and office abilities to be of interest. Attached is my resume.
Having spent the past 2 and a half years travelling around Australia and Asia I have recently moved back to the UK and am determined to pursue my passion and commitment for animals. I am willing to relocate to a different city for the right position.
My qualifications include a lifetime of experience with and love for animals. I have owned animals throughout my life including dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, hamsters and rabbits.
I believe many of my skills to be relevant and transferable such as my strong communication skills, ability to stay calm under pressure and to work both independently and part of a team. I also have a vast amount of customer service experience, some of which I learnt whilst working as a veterinary receptionist where I learnt to deal with upset clients with tact and sensitivity. Most importantly, you will find that I am highly trainable.
Having previously worked at a veterinary clinic I am already familiar with restraining animals, dispensing medication and basic knowledge regarding routine procedures such as neutering.
You are sure to find my hands-on experience with animals, along with my people skills and computer background valuable. I would appreciate the opportunity to present my qualifications in person. Thank you for considering me for employment, I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Alexandra Keeling
