LONDON :CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Our clients are seeking a Clinical Director an Mentor for their Ealing Practice.

PRACTICE MEETINGS: assist Practice manager with Staff meetings from time to time to discuss issues & problem solving. Improving procedures and protocols

STOCK CONTROL: Support the efficiency of the Practice by for example requesting only sensible levels of stock on the shelves agreeing minimum & maximum levels with the managers
SUPPORTING THE STAFF

Team Leader for the Vets. The Lead Vet should be regarded by team members as a capable figure leader e.g. the natural person that the team members would approach to answer a query or solve a problem.
To this end they should demonstrate or be working on, strong leadership qualities i.e. be able to motivate and get the best out of the team to achieve the end result of high quality patient and client care.
Examples of leadership qualities:

Be personally committed to the aims and values of the practice, to lead by example and also to instill and sense of positivity and ‘can do’ attitude in others
Reliable and flexible
Confident and focused with a good sense of humour
Open, direct and honest at all times i.e. ‘integrity’
Strong communicator i.e. being willing and able to take time to ensure that clients and staff have the information they need
Mentoring less experienced colleagues teaching & assisting with surgery. Help with difficult medical cases. We don’t employ new graduates so there is not a lot of mentoring to do – more things like arranging meetings to discuss clinical cases etc.
Advice & support if Vets fail to meet acceptable standards.
It is mainly about thinking of ways to help everyone to work well together rather than 3 separate individuals. And also to keep in touch with Practice management about things going well, and if they are not so going so well for any reason.

CLIENT CARE: taking responsibility & liaising with Partners re complaints & difficult clients
CLINICAL STANDARDS: Working towards achieving & maintaining RCVS Tier 2 status
MARKETING: Advertising ideas e.g. open days
ENSURING VMD PROTOCOLS are adhered to.

SUPPORTING THE AIMS & VALUES OF THE PRACTICE: Prioritising and providing Client choice & service
