BRIGHTON – Our client is looking for a perm Night RVN to join their team.
They seeka dynamic registered veterinary nurse to join theiremergency team. Applicants should be experienced and have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently.
The position is full time, with a structured five nights on followed by five nights off.
Specific duties will involve the routine surgery housekeeping of maintaining a clean clinical environment at all times, taking calls and logging advice, offering appointments, as well as a varied treatments on ward patients, theatre or assisting the Veterinary Surgeon in any emergency care needed.
The practice has a policy of encouraging nursing staff to use and develop their skill set as far as current veterinary legislation will permit and thus applicants should be confident in sampling techniques and other minor surgical techniques as permitted by the current schedule.
Applicants must be able to satisfy the current CPD requirements and be able to produce their records as required by the RVN scheme criteria and should also be able to give some indication of the planned CPD for the following 12 months at interview if requested. The practice also runsCPD sessions from time to time at its headquarters, sometimes these take place during the lunchtime period, but often during the early evening, these are valuable sessions for all in GP veterinary practices and veterinary nurses are encouraged to attend.
